Terms & Conditions of Rental

• All payments must be issued to "Ace Drive Pte Ltd". Bank account details can be found on your tax invoice.
• Cash payment requests should be sent to payment@acedrive.sg. Please only make cash payments to our designated employee upon receiving our email acknowledgement, and always request an official receipt.
• Ace Drive Pte Ltd will not be held responsible for any loss of cash payment made to any staff not otherwise authorised over email.
• In the event of an accident where the driver is not the named driver on the agreement, your maximum liability is unlimited.
• Contact us immediately should you be involved in an accident. Do not attempt to repair the vehicle yourself, failing which a minimum penalty of $300 will be charged.
• A security deposit is required before the start of the rental. The deposit will be forfeited with additional charges for recovery of the vehicle if the driver is not the approved named driver(s) or the vehicle is driven out of Singapore.
• Deposits are refundable within 7–14 working days from the return date, subject to clearance of traffic violations, summons, unpaid penalties, mileage charges, time extensions, fuel shortfalls, and any vehicle damage.
• Speeding beyond the stated speed limit will incur a penalty of $10 per km/h above the limit.
• Smoking, eating or drinking in the vehicle will incur a charge of $250 for detailing and pest control.
• For each hour of late return, 50% of the daily rental rate will be charged. A 15-minute grace period applies; any extensions are subject to availability.
• Additional charges apply for bookings falling on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
• Excess mileage will be charged at 2% of the rental amount per kilometre.
• The signee is fully responsible for informing any other named driver of these Terms and Conditions.
• All prices quoted are subject to the prevailing GST rate.
• Early returns before the stipulated contract end date or time will not be refunded.

The "Company", "renter", or "lessor" refers to Ace Drive Pte Ltd, operating under the Hertz Singapore brand.

The "Vehicle" refers to the car identified by make and model on your Rental Agreement, including its tyres, tools, accessories and equipment.

This is an agreement between you and the Company to rent a motor vehicle to you. The lessee is you (sometimes called the "Customer", "driver", or "hirer"), as identified on the Rental Agreement.

An "Authorised Driver" means (i) you, the Customer, and/or (ii) any licensed driver who has been signed and accepted as an Additional Driver on the Rental Agreement.

The vehicle is delivered to you in good working condition. You agree to return it in the same condition to the Company's location, at the place and on the date specified on your Rental Agreement (or sooner if demanded by the Company). No unauthorised repairs are allowed, except for ordinary wear and tear.

The Company may repossess the vehicle without demand, at your expense, at any time if it is illegally parked, used in violation of Singapore law or this Agreement, apparently abandoned, or you default on payment.

The vehicle may only be used by an Authorised Driver holding a valid driving licence. The vehicle shall NOT be used:

1. To carry persons or property for hire, or for driving tuition
2. To propel or tow any vehicle, trailer or other object
3. In any race, test, contest, or in any careless, reckless, abusive or negligent manner
4. For any illegal purpose or to carry illicit drugs
5. By anyone for whom the Company has been given false name, age, address or other information
6. By anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs
7. In any manner that violates the laws of Singapore

Authorised Drivers are covered by a Motor Vehicle Liability insurance policy on a primary basis for unlimited coverage of all third-party liability, and property damage liability up to S$1,000,000. Cover for loss of or damage to the vehicle by fire or theft applies in excess respectively. Authorised Drivers insured under this policy agree to comply with all its terms, conditions, limitations and restrictions.

1. Fines, Penalties & Indemnity — You will pay all fines, penalties, forfeitures and court costs imposed for parking or traffic violations while the vehicle is rented under this Agreement. You will report such violations promptly and hold the Company harmless from all claims arising from them. Any indirect cost arising from the hirer's fault will also be chargeable. You shall indemnify and keep indemnified Ace Drive Pte Ltd in full against all costs, charges, expenses and liabilities paid or incurred, including legal costs on a full indemnity basis.
2. ERP & Car Parks — The Authorised Driver is responsible for using their own cash card with sufficient balance for entry into ERP zones or any car park.
3. Government Confiscation — On confiscation of the vehicle by any Government authority, the Authorised Driver shall indemnify the Company for all losses incurred, including the value of the vehicle.
4. Personal Property — The Authorised Driver releases and holds harmless the Company from all claims for loss or damage to personal property left or carried in the vehicle, whether or not due to the Company's negligence.
5. No Agency — In no event shall an Authorised Driver or vehicle be deemed an agent, servant or employee of the Company.
6. Overseas Driving — The vehicle shall not be driven out of Singapore without prior notification and payment of additional charges to the Company.
7. No Warranty — The Company makes no express or implied warranty as to any matter whatsoever, including the condition, merchantability, or fitness of the vehicle for any particular purpose.
8. Waiver — No right of the Company may be waived except in writing by the management of the Company.
9. Governing Law — This Agreement is governed by Singapore law and subject to the absolute jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

1. Rental Charges — You will pay the Company on demand (time is of the essence) all rental charges including time, mileage, service, and applicable taxes as specified on your Tax Invoice.
2. Collection Expenses — All expenses of collection or repossession, including court costs and reasonable legal and administration fees, will be borne by the Authorised Driver.
3. Collision Damage Reducer (CDR) — If you elect to accept and pay the CDR as indicated on your Tax Invoice and the Authorised Driver complies with all terms, you are relieved from liability for collision damage to the vehicle. CDR is not insurance.
4. Payment Guarantees — If you have directed the Company to bill a third party who fails to pay when due, you will promptly pay the Company upon demand.
5. Final Audit — All charges are subject to final audit. Credits or additional charges will be settled via the deposit withheld or by separate payment.
6. Deposit — All hirers are required to pay the deposit on or before collection of the vehicle, by cash or credit card only. If paying by cheque, you must issue the full insurance excess amount.

Deposits will be used to offset any additional charges incurred. All charges are subject to GST.

1. The security deposit and insurance excess vary by vehicle type and may change from time to time without prior notice. Please contact us for current details.
2. Insurance Declaration — It is your duty to inform us if you have been involved in any accident, even after clearing your previous insurance. Our insurer will conduct a final check before we can hand over the vehicle. To avoid inconvenience, please report any accident (regardless of fault) and obtain fresh clearance. If you inform us at least 1 week in advance and are unable to pass insurance, a full refund will be given. If you do not inform us earlier and fail insurance clearance, your rental payment will be forfeited.
3. Should you be involved in an accident, the deposit will be withheld until the case is fully settled and closed.

The vehicle you are renting may be fitted with a tracking device that allows Ace Drive Pte Ltd to better manage and protect the fleet. The device may monitor the vehicle's location, mileage, speed and trip history.

We respect your privacy and will not share any personal information with third parties unless officially requested by the Singapore Police Force or any governing authority. Ace Drive reserves the right to apply penalties or charges based on tracking data that indicates travel in prohibited areas or unsafe driving practices.

By placing your booking, you authorise the use of the tracking device and our right to hold records of the data collected.

The rental period commences and terminates on the dates and times specified in the Agreement. You acknowledge that the Agreement is for the full rental period and is not subject to early termination.

1. If the vehicle becomes temporarily unroadworthy (other than as a result of accident, theft or vandalism), or if the Company deems it impracticable to repair any damage not amounting to a total loss, the Company may, at its absolute discretion (within Singapore only), make available a replacement vehicle — not necessarily of the same type, model, age or capacity.
2. The Company reserves the right not to provide a replacement if: (i) the damage was the result of deliberate act, omission, negligence or contravention of this Agreement or any law; or (ii) you fail to comply with the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

By placing a booking, you consent to receive information about goods and services provided by the Reach Group (including Ace Drive and its affiliated companies), such as offers, promotions and new services, via newsletter, email, text message (SMS) and telephone call.

Your consent will remain in effect until you formally withdraw it in writing.
